Week 9 Matchup: Oakland Raiders (0-7) vs. Seattle Seahawks (4-3)
TV Schedule: Sunday, Nov. 2, 4:25 p.m. ET, CBS
Stadium: CenturyLink Field
Line: Seattle (-15)
The Seattle Seahawks haven’t exactly been the most dominating team in the NFL this season. With that said, they are coming off of a win, and will take on the Oakland Raiders next.
Plain and simple, Oakland could use a win right about now. You know, since the team hasn’t captured one this season. Unfortunately, the Raiders’ chances of getting that win aren’t looking too great in Week 9 — would you look at that line. Seattle is the heavy favorite coming in, as it should be. Oakland needs a miracle to pull off this victory.
Before winning last week, the Seahawks actually lost two games in a row. As it stands, the team is a couple of games out of the NFC West. So are the San Francisco 49ers. It is the Arizona Cardinals who are at the top of this division. Whether if you called that one or not, it is surprising that Seattle already has three losses, and has some serious work it needs to do just to get into the playoffs.
However, the team will more than likely win this one, and win big at that. Losing Percy Harvin from a talent standpoint probably wasn’t ideal, although Harvin never really reached his full potential for the team. Regardless, look for Seattle to get a huge pick-me-up in this Week 9 matchup at home.
PREDICTION: Raiders 7, Seahawks 24
