Week 12 Matchup: Cleveland Browns (6-4) vs. Atlanta Falcons (4-6)
TV Schedule: Sunday, Nov. 23, 1:00 p.m. ET, CBS
Stadium: Georgia Dome
Line: Atlanta (-3.5)
You could say the NFC South is pretty weak this year. After all, the Atlanta Falcons are tied at the top of the division with a 4-6 record. The same thing cannot be said about the AFC North, where the Cleveland Browns are tied for last at 6-4.
The Browns dropped a game to the Houston Texans after winning three in a row. If this was a week ago, I would say the Browns win this contest with ease, but I am not so sure now. Only scoring seven points the week before has persuaded me in the other direction when it comes to this matchup.
Atlanta only had two wins a couple of weeks ago. In fact, until this recent two-game winning streak, the team had not won a game since Week 3. But just like that, the Falcons are back in contention for a playoff spot. Another win would certainly get many people’s attention. A win against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 13 would get the entire league’s attention. Let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves, though.
Call it a hunch, but I like the Falcons at home in this game. Maybe it is because they have won two straight, or maybe it is because the Browns dropped one last week, but I am going with Atlanta.
PREDICTION: Browns 21, Falcons 24
