Week 13 Matchup: Philadelphia Eagles (8-3) vs. Dallas Cowboys (8-3)
TV Schedule: Thursday, Nov. 27, 4:30 p.m. ET, FOX
Stadium: AT&T Stadium
Line: Even
Turkey and great NFL matchups, that is what life is all about — well, for football fans, that is. It doesn’t get much more exciting than this in terms of a great game on a great holiday.
The Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys enter this Thanksgiving Day matchup with identical records in a winner-take-all game. Okay, this one doesn’t have that much on the line, but the winner will be alone at the top of the NFC East, so that is pretty cool.
The Eagles have now won a whopping one game in a row. If it weren’t for a run-in with the mighty Green Bay Packers, Philadelphia would be on a four-game winning streak, but we all know how that one turned out (Packers won 53-20). LeSean McCoy is coming off a big game (130 rushing yards, one TD), which is exactly what the team needs from him going forward.
Dallas’ winning streak is now at two games. It is, however, coming off a win against the New York Giants on the road. I don’t care who a team is playing, winning on the road is a great achievement, and that is especially true in a league like the NFL. Tony Romo and DeMarco Murray both did their thing in the Week 12 matchup, as Romo threw four TDs and Murray ran wild for 121 yards.
This game could literally go either way, and the line on the game would probably agree (it’s even). I like the Murray-led Cowboys in this one, though. That home-field advantage thing will prove to be the difference (hopefully).
PREDICTION: Eagles 30, Cowboys 33
