No one in the Eastern Conference of the National Basketball Association has been working harder than the Sixers this off-season and it shows little by little.

On Friday, team CEO Adam Aron told ESPN.com that the Philadelphia 76ers have doubled their season ticket base (92 percent of season-ticket holders renewed) and quadrupled sales of their 10-game plans compared to last year overall ticket sales.

The team is coming off the best attendance increase in the game, up nearly 3,000 fans per game from the 2011-2012 NBA season, and adding big man Andrew Bynum can only help to increase sales.

Bynum, a 7’0″ center from Plainsboro, New Jersey, comes off an even larger season, averaging double-double numbers with 18.7 points per game and 11.8 rebounds per game.

With the addition of Bynum, Sixers fans have begun to find new life in what seemed to be a struggling franchise in the last few years of the playoffs.

In an effort to sell more tickets to Philadelphia fans, numerous measures have been taken since late last season. Aron took to Twitter to connect more with fans (his username is @SixersCEOAdam).

The team also sent out a postcard that includes a personalized website & picture of a Sixers shoe with the buyer’s name on it to more than 40,000 people.

To ensure a response, the 76ers are offering a piece of the floor on which Wilt Chamberlain scored 100 points on to usher fans towards the sales.

Moreover, there hasn’t been an offensive presence at the center position in Philadelphia since the appearance of Moses Malone.

Bynum, even though he’s only appeared in one All-Star game, is an offensive force unparalleled in the Eastern Conference of the NBA.

Look for big Bynum to have a repeat double-double based season and a possible all-star appearance while the 76ers contend for an Atlantic Division title.

As long as the boys on South Broad produce wins, the fans will produce love.
