Roy Williams was an assistant coach to Dean Smith, when he discovered a remarkable young boy in North Carolina named Michael Jeffrey Jordan. The rest was history; Jordan went on to win Smith his first national championship and then become, oh no big deal, just the greatest basketball player of all time.

Could Andrew Wiggins be recruited similarly by Williams? Williams certainly has the recruiting chops to do so; he recently recruited the number one high school prospect in the country, Harrison Barnes. Barnes ended up going in the lottery of the draft, which is what Wiggins hopes to do as well.
@coltsguy510 @22wiggins @awiggins2unc @uncbrad @alldave_allday North Carolina blood runs in his veins! His fathers roots! Come HOME AW!

Wiggins would make the Tar Heels title contenders next year; they already have a solid group returning next year along with a great recruiting class that includes Kennedy Meeks and Isaiah Briscoe. Only time will tell where Wiggins will go, but Williams clearly has the recruiting prowess to land Wiggins. We’ll just have to see if he can land the biggest fish of them all.
