Aaron Gordon’s Play with US U-19 Squad Will Help Power Forward Transition to Arizona Wildcats

Power forwardAaron Gordon looks and plays a lot like Blake Griffin, and that is just a fact. That will be his cross for him to bear, and there will be a lot of madness that comes around that. It will be quite a sight to see Griffin and Gordon play against each other one day, and it could be sooner than we think.

It has been said about Gordon that he needs to work on his half court skills, but he impressed USA head coach Billy Donovan at the U-19 world championships. The combination of Jahlil Okafor and Gordon proved to be too dominant on the front line and the US team was able to come back with a gold medal.

Sean Miller and the Arizona Wildcats are getting a special player next season and his dunks will be a regular appearance on SportsCenter’s top 10. Other than that he should help the Wildcats win the Pac 12 next season and if Gordon is able to do that then he has done his job. Written here in the past that Gordon should probably stay in school for more than one year, but could also see him being a one and done. He would most likely be a lottery pick, so it is pretty hard to blame a young man for wanting to play basketball at the highest level while being paid well to do it.
