Jeff Goodman Writes Point Guard Kasey Hill Will Have “Key Role” with Florida Gators Next Season

Rant Sports- Dave Daniels

Recently saw the opinion below from Jeff Goodman of ESPN who thinks that Kasey Hill should have a key role on the Florida Gators next season. It is not clear yet whether Hill will start, but even if he doesn’t the point guard can still come off the bench and produce. He could play a little bit off ball as well, but his perimeter shooting cannot truly be trusted yet. Hill can still chill on the wing though, catch the ball and then penetrate the lane.

Hill made the pass during the National High School Invitational that led to the national championship winning three point buzzer beater. You could not have asked for a better ending to the tournament, and it was truly thrilling to be there. Hill helped his teammate Dakari Johnson win most outstanding player, but they will have to play each other next season which will be a bit weird.

How much he is asked to produce his freshman season will be a fun thing to keep an eye on. Will Billy Donovan give Hill quite a bit of leash with playing time, or will Donovan be quick to pull the plug if it appears that things are not going as he expected. Something tells me that by the end of the year Hill will be starting, but we will just have to see how this all plays out.
