After falling just short of winning the division last season, expectations were high for the St. Louis Rams heading into 2011–but an 0-3 start was the last thing head coach Steve Spagnuolo expected heading into Week 4. The most recent loss came last Sunday when the Rams were blown out by the Baltimore Ravens 37-7 on their own field and Spagnuolo was apparently so fed up about the score–he told his wife they were no longer speaking to Mr. and Mrs. Harbaugh again.

According to Marc Sessler of NFL.com, Spagnuolo told his wife after the game, “We’re not ever talking to them again” when talking about Ravens head coach John Harbaugh–who happens to be close friends with the Rams coach–and his wife. St. Louis had no chance on Sunday as Baltimore jumped out to a quick 21-0 lead in the first quarter and Spagnuolo must have been so fed up about the score being run up–he’s willing to give up any future double dates or get-togethers with the Harbaughs.

While the report claims Spagnuolo’s wife eventually calmed her husband down, it’s easy to see why Spagnuolo is feeling the frustration. As if the 0-3 start wasn’t already hard enough to deal with, St. Louis faces four tough teams over the next few weeks with games against Washington, Green Bay, Dallas, and New Orleans.

In other words, the Rams could possibly be looking at an 0-7 or 1-6 start to the 2011 season considering how much they’ve struggled so far and all four teams appear to be strong contenders in the NFC. If St. Louis does end up losing any of these next four games, let’s just hope Spagnuolo doesn’t ruin any more friendships if any of these teams decide to run up the score like Harbaugh did last weekend.
