Finally Titans fans can start to breathe a little better. Making early moves like they did today is promising for a better team come next season.

This afternoon Tight End Craig Stevens (2008 draft pick from University of California) was signed to a multi-year contract. Last season Stevens started in eleven of the Titans’ fifteen games and had 166 receiving yards averaging about 18 yards per reception. He had one touchdown.

Titans’ General Manager Mike Reinfeldt referred to Stevens as “…one of our young core guys. We will continue to see him improve into one of the better combo tight ends in the league. This deal came together very quickly. He wanted to be a part of what we are building here and this is a deal that was good for both sides.”

The one touchdown Stevens had this past season was and 11-yard touchdown in a 31-13 victory over Cleveland. Being a huge part of the Titans run game is his main priority.

Now if only they can just figure out what they are going to do with people like Cortland Finnegan and Jared Cook.

Patience Titans fans. Patience.
