FanDuel Week 4 Fantasy Football: 5 Sleeper Plays
These five selections aren't exactly flying under the radar in fantasy football this year. Their respective matchups could see them breaking out in Week 4 and finding their strides, though. The potential is there and the price tags are all reasonable.
5. RB Jerick McKinnon, MIN - $4,500
5. RB Jerick McKinnon, MIN - $4,500
Matt Asiata is getting more touches in the Vikings' Adrian Peterson-less offense right now. McKinnon tested off the charts at the 2014 combine, which included running a 4.37 40-yard dash. The Falcons' defense has given up five rushing touchdowns so far this year; more than any other team. McKinnon possesses home run potential if he can break loose.
4. DEF Oakland Raiders - $4,600
4. DEF Oakland Raiders - $4,600
The Black Hole beckons, and Raider Nation is usually a lock to provide motivation at a few games every year for the normally mediocre Raiders. They are home to the Dolphins, who will travel from the East Coast. A notable time zone change may make the Dolphins lethargic. Also, QB Ryan Tannehill has been struggling lately and does not have the full confidence of his head coach.
3. WR Golden Tate, DET - $5,500
3. WR Golden Tate, DET - $5,500
Tate has had a decent start to the season, but has yet to find the end zone. It's only a matter of time until Megatron is repeatedly double-teamed inside the 20-yard line and Tate becomes the benefactor of a multiple touchdown game. The Jets' defense is tied for surrendering the third most passing TDs so far this season.
2. QB Teddy Bridgewater, MIN - $5,900
2. QB Teddy Bridgewater, MIN - $5,900
If you're looking for a cheap quarterback, Bridgewater is your man. The other rookie who is likely to start this week, Blake Bortles, is $ 6,500. Bridgewater has a much better o-line blocking for him and a better supporting cast with players like Greg Jennings and Cordarrelle Patterson to throw to. Atlanta's secondary is giving up 262.7 YPG through the air in 2014.
1. WR Kendall Wright, TEN - $5,700
1. WR Kendall Wright, TEN - $5,700
Wright finished ranked seventh in receptions in 2013. He has been targeted plenty so far in 2014 as well, so he is on the verge of having a big game. In a division matchup against the Colts, he is not likely to draw the coverage of standout CB Vontae Davis while running plays out of the slot. Expect Jake Locker to look Wright's way lots in this contest. He is a poor man's Wes Welker.
