In Part 1 we discussed the Los Angeles Clippers acquiring Lamar Odom and signing free-agent forward/center, Ronny Turiaf. The Clippers also made some important moves this offseason to solidify their backcourt with the addition of guard Jamal Crawford and the re-signing of Chauncey Billups.

Billups averaged 14.9 points per game for the Clippers last season while shooting 89 percent from the free-throw line. Billups also provided clutch performances for the Clippers hitting a key last second three pointer last season to help the Clippers defeat the Dallas Mavericks in a thrilling victory. Chauncey along with Odom will provide veteran leadership and championship experience that will be vital for the success of this young Clipper team.

The Clippers were also able to add free agent guard Jamal Crawford. Crawford will replace Mo Williams, who was sent to the Utah Jazz. Crawford, who is a 12-year NBA verteran, averaged 13.9 points per game along with 3.2 assists for Portland last season. He also finished the season ranked number one in free throw percentage. Jamal Crawford did shoot 38 percent last season which is pretty lousy so hopefully he will improve on that this season. Still, Crawford is an upgrade at guard and should provide a great spark off the bench.

In another move this offseason the Clips were able to sign 18-year NBA veteran Grant Hill. Hill will backup starter Caron Butler at small forward. He averaged 10.2 points per game last season for the Suns and will provide a solid contribution off the bench as long as he can stay healthy. Hill will also provide the Clippers with leadership and experience. Overall, the Clippers have made excellent moves this offseason which should assist them in their goal to win the Pacific Division and ultimately and NBA Championship.
