Is there ever a game in the NBA where you just know that you could guarantee a win with the upmost confidence?

A lot of people think there are games like this, but more often than not, it is very difficult to predict who will win each night.  If there were ever this type of game for the Boston Celtics, it occurs tonight as the team welcomes the Charlotte Bobcats to the Garden.

The Celtics are arguably the league’s hottest team, coming in on a five game winning streak and defeating all solid teams in the process.  The Celtics have had to work hard during this win streak and understandably so, nothing comes easy.  The Bobcats would appear to be a pushover type of opponent, but that is certainly not the case.  Are they a great team?  Of course not.  Are they a playoff team? No way, but they still have the ability be beat anyone on any given night.  They obviously lose more than they win, but the Celtics can certainly not overlook this team.

The Bobcats were recently mired in a terrible losing streak, a streak that saw the team lose double digit games in a row.  They then ended that streak by winning at the Chicago Bulls, a team that has been remarkably consistent all year long, especially at home.  The Bulls are a playoff team and the Bobcats went into their home gym and stole a victory.

The Celtics have a great opportunity tonight to extend their win streak to six games, but they absolutely cannot overlook an inferior opponent based on the standings.  Anyone can win and the Celtics need to be focused on the task at hand.
