Baltimore Ravens Gameday Notes

David Butler II-US PRESSWIRE

A couple of quick Baltimore Ravens tidbits before their huge game against the New England Patriots on Sunday night football.

The biggest news of the day is very unfortunate, as wide receiver Torrey Smith‘s brother passed away around 2 a.m. EST time this morning after a motorcycle accident. Smith left the team to be with his family during the day, but told the team he will re-join them for tonight’s big game. That still remains to be seen, as John Harbaugh is not really sure about Smith’s status. Smith has had an inconsistent start to the season, so we will see how he reacts to the devastating news if he plays.

On the Ravens’ injury front Lardarius Webb, Bernard Pollard, Pernell McPhee, Jameel McClain, Paul Kruger and Michael Oher are all listed as probable for tonight’s game.

It appears that wide receiver Brandon Lloyd will play tonight, as he has not been ruled inactive. With tight end Aaron Hernandez out, expect Lloyd to play and be a main target for Tom Brady assuming Lloyd plays.

Weather conditions are clear for tonight’s game. The temperature will be around 65 degrees with six mile-per-hour winds out of the northwest.
