Minnesota Vikings New Uniforms Leaked

The Minnesota Vikings were one of three teams to reveal new uniforms for the upcoming season Tuesday afternoon.

Although the changes are small, the new Vikings uniforms are a much-needed upgrade.

The Vikings, who shocked the NFL by making the playoffs last season, have also made a few changes to their logo this offseason. Like their new uniforms, their new logo features very little change.

Along with the Vikings, the Jacksonville Jaguars and Miami Dolphins revealed new uniforms Tuesday as well. The Jaguars uniforms feature a handful of changes from their old uniforms, while the Dolphins, like the Vikings, have very little difference from their old gear.

With Nike taking over as the NFL uniform sponsors last year, most were under the impression that many teams would completely alter their uniforms. Despite the hype, the Seattle Seahawks were really the only team to let Nike “have their way” with their uniforms.

This year, however, more teams seem willing to give Nike full control over their uniform layout. Obviously all NFL teams have the final say in how their uniforms will look, but Nike is finally getting to put their footprint on the NFL, as they have been doing for much of the past few years at the college level.

Although I love the traditional look of many of the NFL teams’ uniforms, the new era of Nike uniforms will only increase the league’s popularity. I certainly don’t foresee the Chicago Bears or Green Bay Packers making significant changes to their uniforms, but I wouldn’t be shocked if all teams allowed Nike to alter their uniforms in some fashion in the near future.
