DeAngelo Hall Re-Tears Achilles Tendon While Getting Pizza

DeAngelo Hall likes pizza. Then again, who doesn’t?

Well last night, while heading to the kitchen to grab a slice of pizza before bed, Hall slipped and re-tore his Achilles tendon, which was originally torn back on September 21 during the Washington Redskins’ showdown with the Philadelphia Eagles.

The latest injury will obviously require surgery to re-repair the tendon, which essentially resets the clock on his recovery. The hope was that Hall would be able to return from the initial tear before the 2014 campaign came to a close, but that isn’t an option following the second tear.

It’s a tough break for the veteran cornerback. Luckily the Redskins have two young cornerbacks in David Amerson and Bashaud Breeland who have played well this season, which lessens the blow of Hall’s departure for the year.

Maybe next time, Hall will reconsider his late-night craving for pizza. Or at least wear some of those night socks with the rubber soles for some added traction.
