Week 11 Matchup: Minnesota Vikings (4-5) vs. Chicago Bears (3-6)
TV Schedule: Sunday, Nov. 16, 1:00 p.m. ET, CBS
Stadium: Soldier Field
Line: Chicago (-3.5)
The Chicago Bears have definitely seen better days, while the Minnesota Vikings have a decent record given their circumstances (starting a rookie QB, the whole Adrian Peterson thing).
With that said, Chicago will naturally be predicted to win this game for the simple fact that it will be playing at home. Not to mention, it really does have a talented offense. Regardless, it is hard to overlook the fact that the Bears gave up 55 points against the Green Bay Packers last game. Oh yeah, and 51 points against the New England Patriots in the game before that.
As for the Vikings, they have now won two in a row. Coming off a bye, they should be well-rested. Although Minnesota’s last two wins haven’t come against the best competition, wins are wins.
I am going with the upset in this one. Minnesota may have to travel on the road, but Chicago has no momentum right now to say the least. There is no way the Vikings will win the division or anything like that, but a 4-5 record this late in the season isn’t too bad. Chicago also hasn’t won at home this year.
The smart pick would probably be to go with the Bears, but there is no way I can give them that satisfaction, not with how horrible they have looked in the last couple of games.
PREDICTION: Vikings 24, Bears 23
