The Pittsburgh Penguins were shutout by the Tampa Bay Lightning by a score of 1-0 with Sean Bergenheim scoring the only goal of the game; Dwayne Roloson stopped all 36 shots he faced from the Penguins and Tampa Bay won the series (it was the second time in team history the Penguins lost a series that they were winning three-games-to-one).

2008
Penguins’ Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 26 shots from the New York Rangers for his second shutout of the playoffs (Pittsburgh was winning the series two games to none).

2000
Ron Tugnutt stopped all 28 shots he faced from the Philadelphia Flyers and the Penguins won the game by a score of 2-0 in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals; the Flyers won the series in six games.

1994
The Penguins were defeated by the Washington Capitals by a score of 6-3 and won the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals in six games.
