Well it didn’t take long for Marc Mariani to have his dreams to come crashing down. He was all set, mentally and physically to become more than just a punt/kick returner for the Tennessee Titans.

In the first half week three’s preseason game, Mariani suffered a broken leg during a punt return in the first quarter.

The game looked to promise better things for him as he returned the game’s opening kickoff for 29 yards.  It was one of the first scenes of sportsmanship show in the preseason as many members of the Arizona Cardinals’ team rushed over after the medical staff at LP Field attended to Mariani. They gave their best wishes as the wide receiver was carted off the field.

At half time the Titans are leading the Cardinals 17-10 as the Cardinals drove down the field to score their first touchdown of the game.

Jake Locker has shown great strengths so far this game, he mentioned earlier this week that his approaches will not change now that he is the official starter for the team. He has hooked up with both Nate Washington and rookie Kendall Wright for touchdowns.

A win tonight will bring the Titans to a winning record in preseason as they go to face the New Orleans Saints next week. Playing the Cardinals and Saints, despite it being preseason it is great practice to open the regular season against the New England Patriots.

We at Rant Sports wish Mariani all the best for a speedy recovery.
