NFL Preview 2012: Looking at the AFC South

With the 2012 NFL season right around the corner, Rant Sports decided to breakdown the AFC South in their NFL preview 2012.

Will Arian Foster be the MVP of the AFC South this season?

There are plenty of talented players in the AFC South that could be considered the MVP for the 2012 season. However, the Houston Texans realize that Foster stands out in a category of his own when it comes to his ability as a running back and there’s no reason why he shouldn’t come out on top this season–assuming he manages to stay healthy.

Is it safe to say Andrew Luck will be the ROY of the division and the league?

When looking at Luck play for the Indianapolis Colts this preseason, he seems like he’s been ready for the NFL for quite some time now. The Colts realize Luck may deal with some growing pains like most rookies, but he’s the obvious choice for Rookie of the Year in the AFC South for 2012.

The Texans won their first division title in 2012. Will they repeat as champs this season?

Houston finally got over the hump in 2011 by reaching the playoffs and winning the division for the first time in franchise history. Now, expectations are even higher for the Texans in 2012 as many believe they’re one of the top Super Bowl favorites in the AFC–so expect them to repeat as champions.

Will anybody else make the playoffs in 2012?

Considering all of the competition in the AFC, it seems unlikely that any other team will make the playoffs, but the Tennessee Titans may have the best shot of the other three teams.
