What Happened to the Boston Celtics Against the Charlotte Bobcats?

Ever since Rajon Rondo went down with a season-ending ACL injury, the Boston Celtics have been one of the hottest teams in basketball and even developed a seven-game winning streak in the process. While all good things must come to an end sooner or later, it’s never easy when an impressive winning streak comes to an end thanks to a team as disappointing as the Charlotte Bobcats.

The Celtics winning streak came to an end on Monday after suffering a 94-91 loss to the Bobcats–who came into the game with just 11 wins the entire season. Boston had zero answers when it came to stopping Byron Mullins as the big man arguably had the best game of his career with 25 points to go along with 18 rebounds, but there’s no reason to be concerned over the Celtics based off one loss.

In Boston’s defense, a majority of the team was most likely still tired from the team’s triple-overtime win the previous night against the Denver Nuggets as that alone will make it difficult for anyone to play on back-to-back nights. The Celtics are still in good shape at the moment when it comes to being in position for a playoff spot as they currently hold on to the No. 7 seed in the Eastern Conference.

This was only one game for the Celtics and these things happen from time to time in the NBA–even if it was a game against a team like the Bobcats. Hopefully, Boston can just brush this loss of their shoulders and bounce back this week in no time.
