Fantasy NASCAR Rankings for the Richmond 400
Peter Casey-US PRESSWIRE

Richmond International Raceway is one of the best oval tracks on the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. The Richmond 400 is always very tight on the turns, so fantasy fanatics should be prepared for a couple wrecks. Below are my fantasy NASCAR rankings for the race in Richmond, Virginia:

1. Martin Truex Jr. – MTJ has finished 8th or better in five straight races and is the hottest racer going right now.

2. Kyle Busch – Busch dominated last year at Richmond by leading 235 laps and eventually capturing the checkered flag.

3. Jeff Gordon – Gordon always races well at Richmond with 2 wins and 15 top-five finishes at the RIR.

4. Carl Edwards – Edwards has amazingly finished in the top-ten four straight times at Richmond.

5. Tony Stewart – Stewart has not been the driver fantasy fans have been accustomed to in recent years, but the #14 car is due to win in the next couple weeks.

6. Kevin Harvick – Harvick has finished in the top-ten three of his last four races and is finally racing hard after a slow start.

7. Denny Hamlin – Hamlin took the checkered flag last week at Kansas and will get a great starting spot at seventh on Saturday night.

8. Dale Earnhardt Jr. – Junior is having a career season with nine consecutive finishes in the top-fifteen.

9. Mark Martin – Martin has won his second pole position of the year, but the veteran has had five top 5 starts already this year and only one finish.

10. Brad Keselowski – “Bargain Brad” is always a sleeper to finish in the top ten.
