Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger would soon like to forget the game he played last week. Getting completely demolished by the Cleveland Browns, the Pittsburgh Steelers will look to redeem themselves in their upcoming Week 7 matchup as if last week never happened. Playing at home against the Houston Texans, Roethlisberger will do his very best to bounce back from a terrible game. What should fantasy owners expect out of him in this Week 7 matchup on the big stage of Monday Night Football?

Considering that Roethlisberger was pretty much shut down by the Browns, he is no doubt frustrated with his ability to make smart decisions and put his team in a position to win. Everyone knows that when it comes to playing in front of a national audience, Roethlisberger usually shows up and plays rather well. Since he played poorly last week, expect to see a much better performance this time around.

So far throughout the season, most fantasy owners have tended to stay away from Roethlisberger since he’s coming towards the final years of his career and is on the decline. This week however, it’s in the best interest of many to at least have him be the QB2 option for the week considering that he should have a very good game against a weak Texans’ defense.

Despite having a below-average kind of season, Roethlisberger should be able to prove he still has some gas left in his tank by having a strong showing against the Texans. As long as the Steelers stick to running the football, it’ll help set up the play-action passing plays that he excels in.

Overall, give Roethlisberger at least a shot in this matchup considering he’s due for a big game. Make no mistake about it, once the ground game takes off, that will be when Roethlisberger truly shines and starts to dissect the Texans’ defensive secondary with precision.

Week 7 Fantasy Football Projection: 25 for 32, 270 yards, 2 touchdowns, 0 interceptions
