Fantasy Football Week 10 Waiver Wire: Taylor Gabriel

Taylor Gabriel Fantasy

Andrew Weber-USA TODAY Sports

Taylor Gabriel has become quite an electrifying playmaker in the Cleveland Browns’ offense over the past few weeks. Since earning a roster spot in Week 3 of the season, he has become a consistent receiver and deep-ball threat for Brian Hoyer, making him an intriguing fantasy football pickup for Week 10.

Since his first game with the Browns, Gabriel has averaged 19.2 yards per reception, which is good for second in the NFL, only behind DeSean Jackson of the Washington Redskins. This makes him capable of putting up huge fantasy numbers in any given week. While his number of targets may be limited, he is almost guaranteed at least one deep reception in the game.

On Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Gabriel’s 33-yard touchdown reception gave the Browns the lead in the fourth quarter and ultimately led them to victory. This was his first NFL touchdown, and proved to be an important one. The Browns are now 5-3 and right in the mix of the AFC North, and may become even more dependent on Gabriel’s big play-making ability down the stretch.

If you are looking to pick up a wide receiver in your fantasy league this week, and Gabriel is available on the waiver wire, he would be a solid addition to your team. He’s coming off his best fantasy week with 14 points, and I believe he will continue to be targeted more and more by Hoyer as the season progresses. Plus, the Browns will play a Cincinnati Bengals team this Thursday that has struggled defensively. He is definitely one to watch in Week 10, and for the remainder of the season.
