Texas Rangers Looking Very Good in the Early Part of 2013 Season

There are always streaks and slides in the early part of any Major League Baseball season. 2013 has been no different than any other as some teams have gone on long winning streaks while others slide out of the win column for several games in a row. Somewhere in the middle is where the Texas Rangers are playing so far this year and it is the perfect place for them to be and the perfect way for them to play.

They might not have won ten in a row and they may never do so all season long. They are still 13 – 7 and on the tip top of the American League West. Though the west is a shootout as usual, I like something about the way the Rangers are playing that gives them an edge. There are no streaks but you can bet if your team goes to play the Rangers, they better pack their a-game. If they don’t they will get beat.

So far this season the other team is getting beaten more times than not. I know the Los Angeles Angels weren’t penciling in a row of wins when they saw the Rangers on their schedule. Also knowing they were going to face Yu Darvish wasn’t likely a celebratory moment. It just illustrates how good this team is.

The best team in the world might win 100 games in a row for China or some other country, but that same team would struggle to win two out of three from the Rangers. Whether or not they are the best team is irrelevant. What they are is one of the toughest to beat and that is what will have them on everyone’s list of people they don’t want their team to play in the post season.
