MLB Pitchers and Catchers Report: Keep an Eye on These Guys in 2013

The sight of MLB team’s trucks being loaded and unloaded is one of the best in all of baseball as it shows a start to a new season that is full of promise for all 30.

Since the pitchers and the catchers are the ones going to Spring Training I highlighted two that are going to be play-makers for their respected teams in 2013.

Matt Wieters of the Baltimore Orioles put on a show for the birds in 2012 and cemented them into their first playoff birth since 1997. Being behind the plate for a contender in a tough division like the American League East is something to be proud of and Wieters did it with plenty of grace. After cranking out 20 or more home runs for consecutive seasons I feel like he is primed for a 30 home run campaign in 2013.

The Arizona Diamondbacks Wade Miley was very deserving of the Rookie of they Year in 2012 and I believe he was more better than Bryce Harper who wound up winning the accolade. Miley had a 3.33 ERA in his Rookie season and I can see him developing even more in his second season. Although the National League West is shaping up to be quite the division I still feel that Miley  can make his way towards a possible Cy Young Award in 2013.

That is just two players who I chose to rant about but, there are 29 other teams who need to be talked about before Opening Day is upon us so reach out with a comment below or tweet us using the hashtag #RML.
