After the type of season the Miami Heat displayed, it was no surprise to see LeBron James fall one vote shy of unanimously winning MVP for the fourth time in his career considering he averaged 26.8 points per game to go along with 8.0 rebounds and 7.2 assists. While James has every reason in the world to feel honored over winning the award, it appears his teammates were just as excited about him winning MVP again.
As you can see in the photo above, Ray Allen and Dwyane Wade decided to have some fun and pose with the previous three awards James has won along with an open spot where his fourth one can go. When looking at a team like the Heat, one of the things that has always stuck out the most is they’re a team that loves to have fun and act goofy from time to time–so it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise these two players would strike a pose like this with James’ awards.
What James and the Heat managed to accomplish this season has been nothing short of amazing and at this point–it’s safe to say they should be the favorites to win the NBA Finals for the second-straight season. Miami had no problem with the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round and they’re set to begin the semifinals against a banged-up Chicago Bulls team that is coming off an intense opening round series against the Brooklyn Nets.
If James continues playing at his MVP level–maybe he can strike a funny pose with Wade and Allen for the team trophy if they end up winning the NBA Finals again.
