A great Bellator card takes place tonight on MTV 2. Headlining Bellator 79 is a heavyweight bout between Richard Hale and Thiago Santos. Both fighters will be vying for a spot to continue their run in this heavyweight tournament, and the winner is one step closer at claiming $100,000.
Both of these fighters have heavy hands, which should make their bout all the more entertaining. Fans should expect fire-works with a potential early knockout on the horizon. Richard Hale is coming off an impressive TKO win over Mike Wessel at Bellator 75. He is also on a three fight win streak, and he will be looking to make it four when he takes on Santos tonight (November 2, 2012).
Santos comes into this fight off a brutal DQ win against Eric Prindle. Santos will looking to move past his recent fights with Prindle, and a win over Hale tonight would be huge for his career. Another stand out fight of tonight will be a clash between Douglas Lima and Jacob Ortiz.
