Boston Celtics: Boston Celtics Have New Locker Name Plates

BOSTON- The Boston Celtics let the world get a glimpse of their new locker name plates via Instagram.com. The new name plates celebrate the rich history of the Boston Celtics. Every name plate not only has the current players name and number, but also the right side features the name and years of every other Celtic that has worn that number. Every time the Boston Celtics go to their lockers before every game they will be reminded of the former players that wore the Boston Celtics logo and know they are representing the other member soy the Boston Celtics family that are no longer playing. The nostalgia is a nice touch by the ever classy Celtics organization. I personally enjoy the history of the players that have worn the green.

I also enjoyed the pick of Jason Terry‘s plate. Number four has had some great characters over the years. Names like Sherman Douglas (underrated point guard with great floater of a shot that got Boston to a playoff berth), Aala Abdelnaby ( prospect from Duke that never quite became polished enough to be a contributor for the early 90s Celtics), David Wesley (another underrated point guard that showed real skill after Rick Pitino foolishly let him walk), and Chauncey Billups( Another terrible Pitino trade as Billups would earn the Mr. Big Shot moniker) made me smile. Even the recent number fours like Ryan Gomes, Nate Robinson, and Nenad Krstic all provided some moments that will be remembered by Celtics fans both for the good and the real bad.
