Michigan’s Glenn Robinson III Finishes 360 Dunk in Transition (Video)

Well, the nation was electrified this past fall by the working of Mr.RGIII, more promptly known as Robert Griffin III.

Now how about GRIII?

No? It doesn’t roll off the tongue as well as RGIII and maybe the hype isn’t nearly comparable, but hey, work with me here.

Michigan guard Glenn Robinson III had the highlight of the evening during the Wolverines’ trip to Minnesota on Thursday night, getting out in transition and putting on a show.

Robinson went 360 with nobody around on a fast break, finishing with authority and quieting the Gophers’ crowd around the 13:30 minute mark of the second half.

Take a look at the video below:

Robinson’s throw down in undoubtedly worthy of the SportsCenter Top 10 (probably will make a case for No. 1 on the evening barring anything else this spectacular).

Michigan head coach John Beilein probably would not have been too pleased had Robinson messed up the easy two points, but he didn’t, and now college basketball fans have a clip to play over and over again.

Oh by the way, did I mention that Robinson is a freshman? Well yes he is, and he is having a pretty productive first year in Ann Arbor. Entering Thursday’s contest, Robinson had been averaging 12.5 points and 5.8 rebounds per game.

A dual threat on the wing, opposite Tim Hardaway Jr., this dunk was just one clip from a loaded back court that also features All-American point guard Trey Burke.
