Paul Biancardi thinks that young point guards out there should watch Tyus Jones when they are looking for someone to emulate and I have to agree. Jones plays with his head up at all times and sees passes develop before the defense can do anything.

Biancardi is a former coach and now ESPN recruiting nation’s lead man; he also fantastically called the games at the National High School Invitational in Bethesda, Maryland.

Jones led Apple Valley (MN) to a state championship this year in a game that Flip Saunders attended. Jones has yet to commit to a school, but he has said publicly that he would like to play his college ball with Jahlil Okafor. They have remarkably similar lists at this point, so we will keep you posted on how this all develops at Rant Sports Prep. Okafor and Jones will be the two biggest recruiting prizes next year and it should be quite intriguing to watch the process develop. Recently heard Okafor sprained his ankle so here’s to a speedy recovery for him.
