2012 Fantasy Football Busts Week 4: Looking at the Top Three Players

Here’s a look at the top three players for 2012 Fantasy Football Busts Week 4:

3. St. Louis Rams WR Danny Amendola

There’s plenty of potential for Amendola during the 2012 season as he’ll be Sam Bradford‘s favorite target in the passing game and he’s arguably one of the most difficult wide receivers to cover in the NFL. However, the Chicago Bears proved last weekend that Amendola is capable of being shut down after they limited him to just five catches for 66 yards and the Seattle Seahawks‘ secondary will be prepared to do the same on Sunday.

If the Seahawks can limit Aaron Rodgers and company–they should have no problem doing the same to Amendola.

2. Tennessee Titans RB Chris Johnson

Fantasy owners have been ripping their hair out with the lack of production from Johnson and Week 4 doesn’t get any easier as the Titans take on one of the top defenses the NFL has to offer in the Houston Texans. Johnson has recorded just 45 rushing yards on 33 attempts over the team’s first three games and they shouldn’t expect anything big on Sunday.

Johnson is becoming a regular on this list each week and at this rate–he could end up being one of the biggest fantasy busts of the 2012 season.

1. Chicago Bears WR Brandon Marshall

After his impressive performance against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 1, fantasy owners were excited to see what type of numbers Marshall would put up in 2012 now that he was reunited with Jay Cutler. Unfortunately, Marshall and Cutler have failed to live up to their full potential as they’ve struggled to connect on numerous occasions.

With a tough matchup against a tough Dallas Cowboys’ secondary–don’t be surprised if Marshall fails to deliver in Week 4.
