Kevin Kolb A Fantasy Sleeper Against Buffalo Bills

Jennifer Stewart-US Presswire

Looking for a perfect sleeper this weekend? Kevin Kolb could be the one as his Arizona Cardinals take on the Buffalo Bills.

After the Titans played last night, the Bills are now the NFL’s worst statistical defense, allowing 35.2 points per game.

The Bills defense have been charitable to opposing quarterbacks. Tom Brady tore their secondary to shreds weeks ago, but that was to be expected. Alex Smith did the very same thing last week. Even Mark Sanchez and Matt Cassel were made to look like elite QBs against them. The point is that this is the reason the Bills are dead last in points allowed against opposing fantasy quarterbacks. Brandon Weeden is the only quarterback to have not thrown more than one touchdown against that secondary.

The only downside to his sleeper status is that there is a chance the Bills defense will actually respond to GM Buddy Nix‘s criticism. The Cardinals offensive line is getting exposed for what they truly are, allowing nine sacks against the St. Louis Rams last Thursday. The Bills have the players on the defensive line to get the job done.

With injuries at the running back position, it could certainly be possible that Kolb slings for 300+ passing yards and a couple of scores. Larry Fitzgerald could have his best game of the season and rookie WR Michael Floyd could have a breakout performance. Combine this with the fact the Cardinals defense force turnovers, which will give the offense extra potential scoring possessions, Kolb could be a better starting option than Aaron Rodgers.
