Every once in a while, a player comes into a Georgia Bulldogs camp with tons of talent and no hype. The Bulldogs love to find gems hidden in the college recruiting game. For example, star tailback Todd Gurley was only a three-star prospect when the Bulldogs started recruiting him at the same time they were recruiting former five-star tailback Keith Marshall. Current Houston Texans offensive lineman Ben Jones was also a three star with only four offers when he committed to UGA.
During a camp at UGA, 6-foot-4 receiver prospect Gilbert Johnson, with no current recruiting rankings, committed to the Bulldogs.

From the looks of it, Johnson could be another hidden gem. He has great height and holds offers from LSU, Louisville, Kentucky, Cincinnati and Pittsburgh. There is little known about Johnson other than the Bulldogs offered him today and his coach confirmed the commitment. Johnson led Southridge High School with 35 catches for 572 yards and five TDs last season.
The Bulldogs have been hosting a camp and 7-on-7 tournament over the past week which has brought many big time prospects to the Classic City. Some prospects at the UGA this week have included Cameron Sims, Malkolm Parrish, Jacob Park, Shekenneth Williams, Kyle Kearns and Tyler Queen.
The Bulldogs are reeling in the commitments at a much slower pace this year as opposed to last year, but the emphasis this year has been on quality over quantity as the number of available scholarships is much lower than last years 32.
