The Boston Red Sox will wrap up a three-game stand with the Cleveland Indians on Thursday night, looking for a sweep and their sixth consecutive win overall.

After winning in walk-off fashion in the early afternoon hours of Monday’s Patriots’ Day in the city of Boston, some tragic events unfolded at the 2013 Boston Marathon. Amid the attack on the finish line, the Red Sox, along with the other professional franchises in the area, have responded with aiding support for the people of Boston.

The Red Sox picked up a win on Tuesday night in the first professional event since Monday’s attack and continued their winning ways again on Wednesday. The Boston Bruins had a touching pregame tribute to the city prior to their game on Wednesday night — a contest that marked the first professional event in the city since Monday. The Bruins lost in a shootout on Wednesday, but clinched a berth within the 2013 NHL Playoffs in the process.

The Red Sox organization however, has a treat for the fans and the team when they arrive back in the city on Friday for a three-game series with the Kansas City Royals, as you can see in the tweet below:

The “B Stong” logo has become a staple point of the city’s recovery process, as well as the phrase #BostonStrong. The inspiring message has now been placed upon the infamous Green Monster.

The Red Sox are entering Thursday with a 10-4 record overall to begin the season, holding a 1.5 game lead within the AL East. Boston will play at 7:05pm (EST) on Thursday night and then return home for a 7:10pm (EST) start on Friday in Fenway Park.
