Jordan Brand Classic Players “Rely on Their Athleticism” More Than Anything

The Jordan Brand Classic All-American basketball game played tonight in Brooklyn featured 24 of the top high school seniors in the country and it was a heck of a game with Jabari Parker taking home MVP honors. Will be posting a lot more about this game in the coming days, so keep your eyes peeled.

“If you’re looking for a shooter, you’re better off looking at the international players,” said analyst Tom Konchalski to USATodayhss.com. Andrew Wiggins comes to mind here. He is already an excellent shooter and his form dictates that he will only get better in the future. Wiggins was named Gatorade’s National High School Boys Basketball Player of the Year last month and big things are in his future. Something tells me that big things are in Parker’s future too. The battle in the coming years between these two young men should be fun to watch.

“They rely on their athleticism,” St. Benedict’s Prep head coach Mark Taylor said. “If I had their athleticism, I’d rely on it too.”

The next time they play each other will be at the college level; it just remains to be seen where Wiggins will be playing ball next year. You can bet that Rant Sports Prep will be on top of it when he decides though and we will all look forward to that day until it comes.
