Over the course of the past few days, Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning has brought a few of his wide receivers together for some off-season workouts. The headline player in that group is of course the Broncos’ biggest off-season addition — Wes Welker. Denver fans should certainly be excited about the fact that the two are already working together and that each have been pleased with their early chemistry.
Well, following the conclusion of their workout on Wednesday afternoon, Manning showed his sense of humor and played a little prank –not on Welker — but instead on fourth year wide receiver Eric Decker.
Manning decided to tell the Duke football coaching staff that the workouts were to be charged to Decker. The complied and Decker than tweeted out the photo to his followers:
Nice little practical joke Peyton drew up…making me think I have to pay for workouts in Duke t/week @mortreport twitter.com/EricDecker87/s…

The Broncos are fresh off a 13-3 regular season a year ago, but Denver was upset in the playoffs by the Baltimore Ravens. With the off-season addition of Welker however, Manning has a group of receivers that very well could be in the best in the NFL. From Welker to Decker to Demaryius Thomas, Manning will have plenty of talent at the wide receiver position here in 2013.
Last year Decker caught 85 balls for 1,064 yards and 13 touchdowns — a year that by far marked his best season at the professional level.
