Drake Harris Commits to Michigan Wolverines, Will This Decision Change?

The circus that is Drake Harris has reached a new destination: Ann Arbor. The newly-anointed five-star wide receiver from Grand Rapids, Mich., is the latest in the long line of top recruits to commit to Michigan in the past few months.

This may come as a surprise, however, as the top receiver had originally committed to Michigan State, the Wolverines’ in-state rival, and made it clear that he was a Spartan. This was back in December, and now the top recruit has decommitted from the Spartans, made a slew of official visits around the country and had said that his first love — MSU — was back in the race.

That was all in a two-month span, and now the high school junior has made his decision to commit to Michigan. The decision by the young wide out will not be a popular one in East Lansing, Mich., however, as the Spartans and the Wolverines are two schools that don’t necessarily get along.

Harris was to visit Ohio State on April 12, and the following day he was set to visit Michigan. Well, he visited both schools and apparently he has made up his mind — again — or so we think.

It’s hard to picture this commitment staying set in stone as the young athlete has changed his mind numerous times before. Also, the kicker is that he was slated to visit East Lansing for the Spartans’ spring game on April 20 and if this commitment stands, he won’t be allowed anywhere near Spartan Stadium.

I speak for everyone when I say: make up your mind, Drake Harris.
