Adam Zagoria is kind of a baller. His recent piece was excellent on the Andrew Wiggins decision and what he means to Canadian basketball, you can check it out on Zagsblog.com.
Zagoria caught up with Wiggins’ brother Nick Wiggins and apparently little brother has not made a decision, but he’ll let everyone know when he does.
“The days are counting down,” the junior Wichita State guard told SNY.tv. “When he is ready to make his decision he will make it.”
Wiggins coach Rob Fulford has said before that Wiggins will make his decision by May 15th, but it is a possibility that Wiggins could make his decision after that date in time.
Wiggins is currently projected as the No. 1 pick in the 2014 NBA Draft, and some have called him the “anti” LeBron James for his lack of lave for the spotlight. Wiggins was named the Gatorade National High School Boys Basketball Player of the Year, and he is now up for Athlete of the Year as well. I may have a chance to interview Wiggins later this summer, but I will definitely let my readers know of any updates concerning that.
Zagoria also caught up with fellow Canadian basketball play Kris Joseph and Joseph had some very revealing things to say about what Wiggins means to Canadian basketball and what Wiggins could potentially become in the future.
One thing is for sure, even if it only happens to be for one year, college basketball is back in a big time way.
