Tom Coughlin And Greg Schiano Get Into It After Giants Defeat Buccaneers

Brad Penner-US PRESSWIRE

Tom Coughlin probably was not happy with his New York Giants on Sunday, even though they managed to win a close game. He was also not happy with Greg Schiano, the man who coaches the Tampa Bay Buccanneers. The two got into a verbal spat after the game and the cameras captured it all.

See, Coughlin was not happy with the Bucs players taking an extra shot at Eli Manning as he was kneeling the ball to seal the game.  Schiano wasn’t happy because he felt that his team was screwed by a pretty bad call by the refs.  In retrospect, both guys have reasons to be angry, but Coughlin has more reason to made at Schiano.

On a kneel play, there is no reason to be going after the quarterback.  It looks like the Bucs were trying to get in an extra shot on Eli, which is kind of stupid.  I understand that they are heated because they just blew a big game, but leave the stupidity off the field.  You lost, big deal.  Don’t go after the other team’s QB just because you can.

We will have to see how much attention this gets in the media after this week.  The cameras missed some of the stuff but it looked to be a very angry conversation.  I doubt the two reveal what happened in their press conferences, but there might be some gold nuggets from those.

Oh football.  You never cease to entertain.
