Buffalo Wideout Alex Neutz Catches Hail Mary Touchdown To End First Half

Dale Zanine-US PRESSWIRE

#MACtion is back but Alex Neutz is the only guy to give us anything resembling anything batty.  The Buffalo wide receiver managed to haul in a Hail Mary from QB Alex Zordich to give the Bulls their only score of the game.

See, I am not sure if this more of a great play by Neutz or a simply awful play by the Kent State defense.  They had the guys back their to stop it but they simply forgot to knock the ball down or tackle Neutz.  Not exactly the way you want to play defense at the end of the half.

However, it was the only blemish against KSU on Wednesday as Buffalo looks to be a very bad football team.  Zordich was throwing passes every direction but towards his wideouts.  The team in general struggled to move the ball, which means there wasn’t many opportunities for the greatness of MAC football to take hold.

Hopefully the games pick up in the coming weeks.  There is nothing better than a mid-week MAC game that gets everyone excited.  Normally they end up in OT and all sorts of kooky things happen.  Not this week.  This game was flat out boring, sans this play.  Not at all like we have come to expect.

At least Neutz will have a top ten play out of this.  That is about the only good thing to come out of this game for Buffalo.  Back to the drawing board they go.
