Ordinarily, an simple injury would not qualify to be published in this section. However, Christian Ponder does not have your simple run of the mill arm injury. Ponder’s arm has to be in the running for one of the most disgusting injuries of 2013. Yes, the year isn’t that old but still. Just look at that.
A lot of people say that Ponder should have played in the Minnesota Vikings loss, but I do not think he would have been physically possible. At first, I thought it was going to be your average bruise, but that thing looks like it has a mind of its own. Not only would it be almost impossible to play sports with that thing, I have no idea what his everyday life is like with that.
Then again, I would probably take that arm over whatever the heck Joe Webb was trying to accomplish. At least Ponder would have had a built in excuse when people asked why he couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn. Webb had no such alibi. If he did have some magical malady, he should have probably explained that before he thought bounce passes were legal in football.
At least Ponder is recently married. He has someone at home to help take care of him and that giant bruise that he likes to call his throwing arm. Maybe Samantha Ponder has picked up some tips on treating injuries from her time on the sideline. At this rate, it looks like this might be something that needs a lot of home care.
