If you don’t want to know the winner of The Rock and CM Punk at the Royal Rumble, I suggest you look away now to avoid a major spoiler. If this does not bother you at all, you can read on.
Part of the promotional material for the DVD reads:
“Buzz is already building after the main event match-up announcement placing two mega-watt Superstars face-to-face for the first time since WrestleMania 28.”
Below this paragraph it announces that the WrestleMania 29 main event will be The Rock vs. John Cena for the WWE Championship.
This all but confirms that The Rock will indeed win the WWE Title from Punk at the Royal Rumble. Not only does it reveal the winner of that match, but it also potentially reveals the winner of the Royal Rumble match, suggesting that Cena wins the match for the second ever time.
You cannot deny that both men are mega-popular and a number of people will love to see them wrestle each other again. However, this match might be too predictable for some people to stomach. It’s highly unlikely the WWE powers will let Cena lose to The Rock for two years in a row. Not to mention the match is for the WWE Title and The Rock cannot win unless he steals the title and takes it to Hollywood forever…
