Back in Week 4, the Denver Broncos and Oakland Raiders met up for the first time in 2012 as these AFC West rivals were looking for another classic matchup. The Raiders may have established a winning streak in Denver over the last couple of years–but it was the Broncos fans that were able to enjoy a victory in this one.
Denver went on to win the game 37-6 thanks to an impressive performance by Peyton Manning. After the Broncos struggled in their previous two games, Manning looked like his old self by completing 30 of 38 passes for 338 yards and three touchdowns to help the Broncos pick up their second win of the season and put an end to their two-game losing streak.
With the way he performed against the Raiders, Manning silenced his critics to prove that he still had what it takes to be one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL. If he could play like this on a weekly basis, fans would have all of the confidence in the world that their beloved quarterback could lead the Broncos to the promised land.
The argument can be made that this was just a minor win considering how poorly the Raiders have looked so far this season, but a win is a win–no matter which team it comes against. On this Sunday, Manning gave Denver fans plenty to cheer about and they hope to see more performances like this throughout the rest of the 2012 season.
