Edmonton Oilers’ Version of “Santa Claus is Coming to Town”

Due to the fact that the NHL season is still in lockout-mode, it appears that they players are beginning to get a little bit bored.

Thanks to Gary Bettman and the other NHL owners, we now get to watch hockey teams attempt to sing and dance to Christmas music.

Players from the Edmonton Oilers have recreated their own rendition of the famous classic, “Santa Claus is Coming to Town.” It’s not just a simple version either, the Oilers managed to channel Bruce Springsteen as well as a Justin Bieber version in their Christmas video.

Sit back, relax, and enjoy quite the laugh after this video.

While this is a hilarious video to watch, it’s pretty sad that this is what the players are doing in their free time. Clearly their boredom has reached a whole new level.

They start off by saying there is no Christmas spirit. I’m taking a wild guess that it’s because they miss playing hockey. I hate admit this, but there’s no way their season is going to start anytime soon at this rate.

Although they’ve only cancelled the hockey season until December 14th, I highly doubt these players will compete on the ice by Christmas day.

Either way, these players should probably stick to hockey; I don’t think they’d have much luck on Broadway. However, it does give hockey fans some hysterical entertainment.

Sure, the video is enjoyable, but can we just end this lockout already? Players have to find other jobs, mass media is losing revenue, and fans miss watching their beloved hockey teams.

Gary Bettman, this is your fault and is why you found yourself on Santa’s Naughty List.
